(CU0620-404692-00204) The DIN Is In
New for 2006, an exciting feature has been added to Collector grade 1:24 scale Action die-cast cars! Protect the collectability of your die-cast by registering it through Actions easy-to-use system. By registering each of your die-cast cars identification number (DIN), you will:
bulletMaintain authenticity of your collection
bulletIncrease car value
bulletBe eligible to win exclusive prizes.
What is "DIN" You ask?
DIN stands for Diecast Identification Number. DIN is a brand new feature, laser etched into the rear window panel of Actions upgraded 1:24 scale die-cast cars produced in 2006 and beyond. This registration program was designed to enhance collectability, maintain authenticity and increase value of Action die-cast models.

As the program grows, Action will be adding other benefits for registration like prizes, a way to keep track of your collection and its current worth, and other exclusive offers.

Once you set up your "garage", and register your diecast, you can get a "Certificate of Title" for each diecast you register.

Each unique product identifier is registered in a secure environment. To begin registration, click here. There you will be prompted to enter specific details about your die-cast to make the certificate official.

Once registration of your DIN is complete, there are two options for obtaining your certificate:
1. Print it out immediately from the preview screen. You will only have one chance to do so. This version is black and white only.
2. Order an official certificate on high-quality parchment, which features a hand-crimped seal. The $7 charge includes first class mailing to the address provided during registration.

Although the upgraded certificate can be proudly displayed, please note that access to the registration code and DIN number when used together provides access to this car. We recommend storing your certificate in a safe location.

DIN FAQ
Why should I register my car?
By registering your die-cast, you will maintain the authenticity and increase value of that piece. You will also have a record of the cars you registered including all pertinent data about that car. Plus, you'll become eligible to win prizes!
Is there significance to the numerical sequence of the DIN?
Each vehicle has a unique numbering system. This system breaks down like this:
Example DIN:
CU0620-404692-00204
"CU" is for CUP series (BU = Busch, IC = IROC, FC = Funny Car, DR = Top Fuel Rail, etc...)
"06" is for the year PRODUCED
"20" is the car number (the number 8 would be "X8" or number 5 would be "X5")
"404692" This is the part number of the car. (You also will find this on the silver or gold labels on the end of the box as P/N)
"000204" in the last segment
is the sequential number according to that vehicle’s production quantity. (Finally ARC cars are NUMBERED!!)

How do I transfer the title if I sell a car from my collection?
A title transfer is handled through the seller’s account at no charge. You must provide to the purchaser both DIN number and the Registration Code from your certificate upon sale. The respective purchaser can than enter the DIN number and once entering the registration code will be able to retrieve the vehicle data and change the ownership information.
Can I get a new DIN Certificate if I have purchased a diecast from a collector that was registered prior?
Yes, once you have followed the steps to transfer the title you will be prompted to choose an option of printing a free certificate or purchasing the upgraded one.
What’s the benefit of paying for a printed certificate?
The printed certificate will be on high-quality parchment with an official seal, which reduces the potential for duplication while making a wonderful addition to your collectible. The ultimate potential increased value could come should you be fortunate to have the certificate and the car autographed by the respective driver.
Can a car be registered more than once?
No, each DIN in our system can be registered only one time. You can, however, update the registration by transfer of title.
Where do I find the DIN on my die-cast?
All collector grade 1:24 scale pieces issued in 2006 and beyond feature the number behind the back windshield of the car. Currently this includes RCCA and ARC brands and does not include our Winners Circle, Brookfield and Funline and/or Muscle Machine die-cast.
Can I register more than one car at a time?
Not at this time. The data process requires reading multiple databases in order to accurately identify your DIN number and integrate it with the related information for registration. We are currently working on an upgrade that will give you the ability to register many cars at once and choose those you wish to have the free registration and/or the collectable registration within one order.
How much does an official title cost?
The cost of an official title is $7 plus tax, where applicable.
When I first registered my car, I did not want the official certificate, but now I do. How do I request one?
After logging in to your account, click on My Garage. Next to each of the car's you've registered is a link to order an official title. Just click on that and follow the steps.
